Counseling & Educational Services
DEREE-The American College of Greece offers advice to over 100 students a year through the Counseling and Educational services. Typically, students seek counseling for difficulties pertaining to adjustment, personal relationships, self-esteem, sexual orientation, as well as emotional and behavioral issues such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and substance abuse.
The Educational Psychologist assesses students’ learning difficulties such as such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, written expression and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and provides appropriate advice and assistance.
The Educational Psychologist strives to promote the well being of the whole person and to this aim cooperates closely with the Wellness Center, under the guidance of the Dean of Students.
All services are provided confidentially and free of any charge. We encourage students to consult the Educational Psychologist about any matter that may concern them.
