DEREE - The American College of Greece and the Open University of the U.K. are establishing a partnership for the purpose of degree validation and other joint ventures. The partnership ensures that DEREE graduates’ professional rights are recognized in all E.U. countries. It also brings together the resources of Europe’s largest university (OU) and Europe’s oldest and largest American college or university (DEREE - The American College of Greece).

“This partnership will be of great benefit to DEREE students,” said Dr. David Horner, president of The American College of Greece. “DEREE was the first American college or university accredited outside the United States by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, which accredits Harvard, Yale, Brown and many other outstanding institutions. We are looking forward to adding another significant dimension – an E.U. dimension – to our unique institutional profile.”

Director of OU’s Validation Services, Kate M. Clarke, said, “DEREE - The American College of Greece has a long and distinguished record of service as a provider of quality education in Greece. We are delighted with the prospect of adding the College to our impressive list of international partner institutions.”
