The First Year Program

To help incoming freshmen adjust to their new academic environment, DEREE has developed The First-Year (FY) Program to help students start their academic careers.

In the Transition to College phase, which lasts for the student's first semester and first session (or first session and first semester), the student is given a fixed schedule of courses and is graded with an A, B, C, P, or W grade only.

Completion of First Year, which lasts for the student's second semester and session, the program prescribes certain courses that the student needs to complete but allows for some choice as well.
