Libra Internship Program
The Libra Group (www.libra.com) seeks DEREE undergraduate students for the Libra Internship Program to be run in cooperation with The American College of Greece. The program selects DEREE students to intern with Libra Group or its subsidiaries around the world; students are also given the option to study abroad at a university in Europe or the US as part of the experience*. Launched in 2012, the Libra Internship Program is a first-of-its-kind combined study abroad/internship program in Greece designed exclusively for DEREE undergraduate students.
*Note: the study abroad portion of the Libra Internship Program is not mandatory
Students looking to apply should have a good record of academic achievement, demonstrated personal motivation and a keen interest in a combined study abroad/international internship experience.
The internship program will match DEREE undergraduate students with one of Libra Group’s diverse industries, such as shipping, aviation, hotel management, real estate or energy renewal at one of the Libra Group’s 22 key international locations, which include New York, Miami, London, Athens, Beijing and Buenos Aires. The internship will include a fixed-amount bursary as a contribution towards travel and living expenses for the students selected; the study abroad portion of the program will include a contribution paid towards university housing and meal plan.
The Program’s threefold purpose is to advance DEREE college students’ preparation for the modern workforce, provide a broad global business perspective to be shared with DEREE classmates, and to influence the future of Greece and the Greek economy. In turn, the Libra Group will benefit from the integration of talented students in relevant projects across its various companies.
