Students on campus

Now more than ever, you want the best for your child English Ελληνικά

As your child plans to make his way in the world, you want him to join a community that will accept him with open arms. You want her to study with mentors that will both challenge and nurture her. You want him to pursue his passions, become a better leader and prepare for lifelong success. You want your student to thrive as a result of the choices he or she makes. Rest assured, when your childchooses DEREE – The American College of Greece, she ischoosing opportunity (across 21 academic majors and more than40 student clubs and organizations), challenge (with world-class faculty) and possibility (our graduates hold significant positions with more than 1,600 organizations worldwide).

When your child chooses DEREE, he or she is choosing to dream big and achieve.
What more could you ask for?

The American College of Greece—accredited in Europe and the U.S.—is the oldest and largest independent, American sponsored school in Europe. Over 125 years of service have forged a school larger and more diverse than its founders envisioned. In fact, our more than 33,000 graduates live and work in more than 54 countries across the world.

Your student will study with some of Europe’s greatest minds, a mix of professors from Greece and abroad—from an Oxford-educated poet with nine books to his credit to the founder of a consulting firm that works with Coca-Cola, Citibank and Microsoft.

Although DEREE’s faculty members are highly accomplished scholars who hold terminal degrees from universities in the U.S. and Europe (including Harvard, Princeton, the University of London and the University of Glasgow), they are first and foremost committed to teaching. And that’s great news for your son or daughter.

DEREE’s intentionally intimate classes—most of them between 15 and 20 students—offer your student a wide range of benefits, including:

  • More personalized attention from professors (which can lead to great job and graduate school recommendations).
  • Discussion-based courses that foster an in-depth exploration of concepts.
  • Exposure to an array of diverse perspectives from classmates who come to DEREE from more than 50 countries across the world.

Since 1981, DEREE has been accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), which accredits universities such as Harvard, Yale, Brown and many other outstanding institutions. In addition, in July of 2010, DEREE was granted a license from the Greek Ministry of Education and given the status of a Center for Post-Lyceum Studies. This means your DEREE degree will be highly regarded all around the world.

Could you place a value on limitless possibilities?
Maybe not
.

When your student chooses DEREE, he or she is choosing a future of unlimited possibilities— the possibility of increased earning power, the possibility of pursuing his or her dreams, the possibility of living a full and fully rewarding life.
